Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation Ward | The Wesley Hospital

Employment Term: Two Permanent Part Time opportunities available 

  • 64 hours per fortnight & 68 hours per fortnight

Location: located in the peaceful surrounds of Auchenflower, The Wesley Hospital is just 5 mins from Toowong Shopping Village and 10 mins from Brisbane City
Remuneration:  $42.50 - $54.62 phr + 12% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

Your part in The Wesley Hospital team

As a Registered Nurse within the Rehab ward, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes. You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills.

  • Apply sound clinical practice which ensures a safe environment and promotes optimal patient health  

  • Effectively exchange information regarding patient responses to treatment and nursing care  

  • Demonstrate application of the principles of clinical and workplace risk management  

  • Achieve optimum patient care through effective collaboration with other health professionals and coordination of care  

  • Achieves optimal patient outcomes through appropriate allocation of staff and delegation of work and effective communication skills  

What makes a difference for us?

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration, with a minimum of 12 months post-graduate experience within a Rehab ward and/or acute care/hospital setting  

  • Full Australian Working Rights (please note, we are unable to provide sponsorship at this time)  

  • Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster, with demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.  

  • A commitment to patient safety and quality improvements and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment 
  • Prepared to comply with and uphold the terms and conditions of employment for nursing staff as per the relevant UnitingCare Health Enterprise Agreement.
  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment
