Description
Your Role
Operate an ultra-precision diamond turning machine to manufacture optical molds in optical quality, including setup, basic programming/parameter input, and in-process checks.
Perform measurement tasks using a wide portfolio of metrology devices (e.g., surface profilers, interferometers, coordinate or form measuring systems) to verify optical and geometrical specifications.
Support in routine measurement tasks.
Prepare, mount, and handle workpieces and tools, ensuring cleanliness and proper clamping/fixturing.
Document manufacturing parameters, measurement results, and deviations in a structured way.
Support troubleshooting of process and measurement issues.
Contribute to the maintenance, calibration, and basic care of diamond turning and metrology equipment.
Your Profile
- Technical or applied studies in optics, electronics, mechanics, physics, or mathematics.
- Professional experience in an optical, mechanical, or electronics laboratory or workshop environment.
- Prior exposure to precision manufacturing or metrology equipment is highly desirable.
- Fundamental understanding of optics, mechanics, and precision manufacturing principles.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory or workshop instruments, such as alignment tools, microscopes, and measuring devices.
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python for basic data processing and analysis. NC programming is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong mathematical skills for interpreting measurement results and tolerances.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a structured, meticulous, and reliable manner, with a pronounced hands-on approach.
- Proficient in English.
