Our Industrial Security team in Cambridge, MA, is presently seeking an Industrial Security Specialist to join the team.

Role Overview

This is a multi-faceted Industrial Security Specialist position working within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The candidate will help develop, administer, and maintain a comprehensive security program in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) Rule. Additionally, this role will serve as the Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager, supporting the security and management of classified communication systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards.

This position is onsite in Cambridge, MA 

What You Will Do

• Maintain classified document control, accountability, and shipment records.
• Support visitor access, personnel security, employee briefings, and security education.
• Prepare for and participate in security audits, inspections, and administrative inquiries.
• Develop and maintain security policies, SOPs, OPSEC plans, and procedures.
• Manage COMSEC equipment, materials, key management, records, and compliance.
• Conduct COMSEC audits and inspections and support incident response and reporting.
• Provide COMSEC training and guidance to personnel.
• Coordinate with government and external organizations on security and COMSEC requirements.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience or knowledge of 32 CFR 117, DoD 5220.22-M (NISPOM), and ISLs.
• Experience processing classified shipments and maintaining accountability of classified assets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Current Secret Clearance Required prior to start

Qualifications We Prefer

• Completion of applicable General and Industrial Security Courses through CDSE.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently across a diverse program environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve goals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience conducting security investigations or administrative inquiries and interviewing employees regarding security infractions or violations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of COMSEC principles, equipment, and key management procedures.
• Familiarity with applicable NSA/CSS, CNSSI, and DoD directives.
• Experience with COMSEC equipment such as KG, KY, KIV, and SKL devices.

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
