Apex is seeking to add an Industrial Hygienist to our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington.
The compensation for this role is $28-35 hourly, full time, with benefits, 75% in field/25% in office. The role is field-intensive and supports a broad range of projects located in the Puget Sound Region. These projects reflect Apex's core practices in industrial hygiene/health and safety, environmental compliance, indoor air quality, and contaminated site assessments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hazardous building materials inspections and sampling
- Project code compliance monitoring and oversight for hazardous material abatement projects
- Indoor air quality evaluations
- Technical report preparation
- General project administrative duties
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Health & Safety or related field.
- 1+ years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection. (preferred)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Technical field aptitude including critical thinking, planning, execution, and field documentation.
- A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest
Preferred Qualifications:
- AHERA Asbestos Inspector
- AHERA Project Designer
- HAZWOPER certification
