Build your career delivering high-quality tax advice by joining PwC as an Associate or Senior Associate in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland. As our Corporate Tax practice continues to grow, we are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our collaborative team. You will work alongside experienced tax professionals on strategic tax reviews, corporate tax matters and innovative client solutions, with coaching and support to grow your technical and commercial capability.
You will collaborate across the business and contribute fresh thinking while working with a diverse range of high-value global clients. We use AI and digital tools to deliver high-quality, efficient client service, so curiosity about technology and a willingness to build your digital skills will help you succeed.

Your day-to-day could include:
Use GenAI, digital tools, PwC methodologies and quality frameworks to improve efficiency, consistency and client outcomes
Support and, at Senior Associate level, coach junior team members across advisory and compliance work
Build trusted client relationships and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Spot opportunities to add value for clients and contribute to business development and portfolio growth
Research and prepare practical, technically sound advice on tax matters, including acquisitions, divestments, tax reviews, corporate tax issues and other advisory assignments
Deliver tax advisory and compliance engagements of varying complexity, with guidance from Managers and Tax Partners; Senior Associates may take ownership of defined workstreams and coordinate delivery
Build future-focused skills in a way that is meaningful to you while working with global clients across multiple industries

Relevant tax experience gained in a professional services, commercial or revenue authority environment; we welcome candidates at both Associate and Senior Associate level
A developing or strong understanding of tax legislation and revenue authority practices, gained in New Zealand or a comparable jurisdiction with similar tax principles
Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work
Clear communication skills and the confidence to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
For Senior Associate candidates, experience taking ownership of workstreams, reviewing work or supporting the development of junior team members would be valuable
International experience, particularly when paired with New Zealand tax experience, would be advantageous
