## Your Responsibilities

As a Engineer, Software for John Deere Research & Development Center located in East Moline, IL, you will:

• Develop Gen5 display software using C++ and Qt/QML in an embedded Linux environment
• Design, develop, and maintain Model-Based Software Design (MBSD) solutions

utilizing MATLAB/Simulink for automation and embedded functionalities based on

established architecture and design specifications.

• Implement features and resolve defects following defined requirements
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and software integration
• Collaborate with systems, PV&V, and senior engineers

## What Skills You Need

• Experience with C or C++, or MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow.
• Exposure to embedded Linux or real-time systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

## What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with embedded Linux, real-time systems, or distributed systems
• Proficiency in Qt/QML, Python, or MATLAB/Simulink
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git or equivalent
• Internship or EDP experience in embedded software development

## Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field
