What You Will Do
The Safety Engineer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards across project sites. The role will support safe execution of IBMS, CCTV, CFS, ACS, and other building technology projects by implementing safety practices, conducting audits, and driving a strong safety culture aligned with organizational standards.
How You Will Do It
- Ensure compliance with all applicable EHS regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Implement and monitor safety management systems and safe work practices across project sites.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with approved safety procedures.
- Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, vendors, and customers to ensure safe project execution.
- Support emergency preparedness planning and conduct mock drills as required.(Suggested enhancement based on standard safety practices.)
What We Look For
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Safety, EHS, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety/EHS management within construction, IBMS, ELV, MEP, data center, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred
- Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent EHS qualification.
- Experience supporting CCTV, CFS, ACS, IBMS, or building automation projects.
- Familiarity with client-specific EHS requirements and contractor safety management.
