This position is 36 hours per week (3 12-hour shifts), night shifts. Weekend and holiday rotation required.

Our 8‑bed CCU/ICU is a dynamic, fast‑paced environment staffed by a dedicated interdisciplinary team specializing in comprehensive critical care. Here, you’ll support patients requiring advanced therapies such as mechanical ventilation, non‑invasive ventilation (including BiPAP), central line management, and medication titration. It’s a highly collaborative setting where your expertise is valued, your voice is heard, and your contributions make a meaningful impact in our community hospital.

What You’ll Do

As an ICU RN at BID Milton, you’ll provide compassionate, high‑quality care to patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced clinical support. You’ll use your critical‑thinking skills to care for a diverse population, including post‑operative patients, individuals with complex medical needs, those recovering from respiratory illness, and patients transitioning to comfort‑focused care. Job Description:

Beth Israel Deaconess Milton is currently seeking a night shift,  ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ICU RN is responsible for the care of patients within the ICU. Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, within the framework of the RN license, participates in the following:

  • Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process
  • Systematically assesses the health status of patients
  • Analyzes and interprets data and makes nursing judgments regarding care
  • Plans, implements and coordinates nursing interventions
  • Evaluates outcome of nursing interventions
  • Revises/updates plan of care
  • Documents nursing process clearly and concisely
  • Communicates nursing plan effectively 

 
Minimum Requirements:

  • Equivalent to a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
  • Must complete an individualized critical care orientation and the Milton Hospital or equivalent telemetry course.  
  • Basic Life Support certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required
  • Current IV skill preferred, completion of IV competency within six months of hire.
  • At least two years medical-surgical experience preferred.
  • Telemetry experience preferred.

Pay Range:

$36.00 - $90.14

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.  Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
