CERTIFIED ADDICTIONS COUNSELOR - Albany Care, Evanston, IL
Albany Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Evanston, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Certified Addictions Counselor. Pay Rate of Between $25-$29 per hour(Depending upon Benefit Plan Selected)
~ To Qualify, Must have a Bachelor's Degree and at Least One of the Certifications Listed Below: ~
- Addictions Certificate
- Substance Abuse Certificate
- CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
- CAC (Certified Addictions counselor)

Responsibilities of the Addictions Counselor:
- Provide peer-oriented individual and group counseling
- Assessments
- Treatment planning
- Referrals
- Interventions
- Work with family members and friends, and community to educate about SUDs
- Documentation
- Responsible for fostering a safe, motivating and supportive environment
- Encourage and model the philosophy of recovery and empowerment

Requirements
of the Addictions Counselor:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work required
- Must have at least one of the following certifications:
- Addictions Certificate
- Substance Abuse Certificate
- CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor)
- CAC (Certified Addictions counselor)

- Counseling experience in an adult residential mental health facility
- Knowledge of local community resources a plus
