Summary
Reporting to the Planning Leader, the Production Planner & Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production plans and schedules for the manufacturing facility. The role works closely with Central Planning, Operations, Materials, and Supply Chain teams to ensure production requirements are met while optimizing inventory, materials, and production capacity.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production plans and finite production schedules based on demand, capacity, material availability, and operational requirements.
- Review daily production schedules with Operations and make adjustments as required.
- Analyze material requirements and coordinate with Materials and Central Planning teams to ensure material availability.
- Monitor inventory accuracy for Finished Goods, Raw Materials, and Packaging Materials and support cycle counts.
- Monitor material expiry and obsolescence and support appropriate run-out plans.
- Analyze production variances and resolve or escalate material, inventory, and production discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate production reporting, including mixes and Finished Goods quantities.
- Maintain accurate planning information in SAP/ERP systems.
- Support Materials Planning as required and cross-train with other Planners/Schedulers.
- Develop and maintain SOPs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Production Planning, Scheduling, Materials Planning, or a manufacturing environment.
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with SAP, MRP, or ERP systems is an asset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
