You can help make it possible. We are currently seeking an Anesthesia Technician II to join our world-renowned team at our NYP/Lower Manhattan Hospital.

Essential Job Duties Include:

-Provides approved assistance to Anesthesiologists / CRNA’s during the induction, maintenance and emergence from Anesthesia.

-Assists the anesthesiologists/ CRNA’s with the placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices.

-Maintains on a daily and case to case basis, the equipment and supplies necessary to provide quality and cost effective anesthesia care to all patients cared for by the Anesthesia Department.

-Applies principles of infection control and safety, including proper handling, cleaning, sterilizing and/or disposal of equipment or supplies used in regular and contaminated cases.

-Sets up sterile equipment, such as intravenous, central venous, arterial and pulmonary artery catheters using sterile technique.

-Sets up, operates, and disassembles cell saver equipment and rapid infuser devices as assigned.

-Ensures the sterility and cleanliness of specialized equipment, including TEE’s, fiber optic scopes and LMA’s.

-Ensures workroom areas are clean and orderly before, during and after each shift.

-Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

This is a full-time opportunity at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. This position will work Monday-Friday and the shift will be 1pm-9pm.

Preferred Criteria 

· Certification by American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting/and or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds 

Required Criteria 

· High School Diploma or GED 

· Experience as an Anesthesia Technician

· Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support

Salary Range:

$29.17-$31.27/Hourly
