DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Business Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will support strategic initiatives that drive our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will partner with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, and support SAP transformation initiatives. In this role, you'll translate business needs into functional requirements, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, identify process improvement opportunities, and ensure solutions align with business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to create meaningful impact by enabling successful delivery of business transformation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, drive growth, and improve customer experience across our organization.
Working within the Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG), you will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping ensure transformation initiatives deliver scalable solutions that support operational excellence and business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience
• Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Engineering, Science, or related field
• Business Analysis certification or PMP certification preferred
• Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) a plus
• Experience supporting large-scale SAP or business transformation initiatives, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with business analysis and project collaboration tools
• Advanced skills in stakeholder management and senior-level communications
• Experience supporting business transformation initiatives, including business process analysis and organizational change activities
• Proven ability to collaborate and guide teams in matrix organizations
• Experience identifying business risks, documenting issues, supporting solution design, and communicating project status to stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 25%
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $130,000.00–$194,950.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
