About the Role & Team

The IDC Strategic Pricing team owns pricing strategy, packaging architecture, and commercial operations at IDC, including governance of the Deal Desk function. Deal Desk is the front line for structuring, reviewing, and approving non-standard deal terms - balancing speed for sales with the discipline the business needs around pricing, terms, and exceptions.

IDC is hiring a Deal Desk Analyst to support the day-to-day operations of a growing Deal Desk function. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes solving problems at the intersection of sales, finance, legal, and pricing. You'll be a first point of contact for deal structuring questions, T&Cs exceptions, and discount approvals, and you'll help build the reporting and processes that let Deal Desk scale cleanly as volume grows.

 

What You’ll Do

• Own end-to-end resolution of Deal Desk requests - from intake handling, deal review and approval to supporting sales with deal structuring questions• Support the Pricing Exception and T&Cs approval workflow, ensuring requests are documented,routed, and resolved within SLA• Evaluate discount and promotional requests against established pricing policies and guardrails• Lead account consolidation reviews for complex, high-value global accounts - multiple entities, legal separations, cross-region contracts - and recommend structure and terms• Partner directly with Sales, Legal, and Finance to structure non-standard deals• Document deal decisions and build consistent guidance for sales so recurring deal patterns are handled predictably across the pipeline• Track and report on Deal Desk SLAs, turnaround times, and exception volume/trends for leadership visibility• Continuously refine Deal Desk processes, playbooks and tools as deal volume and complexity scale

What You Bring

 

• [Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field• [4–6] years of experience in deal desk, contracts, or pricing, including exposure to complex orglobal account structuring• Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and analytical skills; Experienced working in an AI-first environment• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and contract/T&Cs review a plus• Excellent written and verbal communication - comfortable working directly with a multiple cross-functional stakeholders at a time• High attention to detail and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environment• Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, evolving environmentNice to Have• Experience with pricing governance, packaging, or commercial operations

• Exposure to bookings/revenue reporting or data warehouse tools

• Willingness to travel
