Job Summary:**
The HVAC Maintenance Technician at HB Global, LLC is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and comfort for our clients.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating components.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot complex HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant issues.
* Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
* Install new HVAC systems and equipment, including ductwork, refrigerant lines, and control systems, ensuring proper sizing and functionality.
* Conduct performance tests and make necessary adjustments to optimize system efficiency and airflow.
* Respond to emergency service calls and provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities, including parts used and hours worked.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Communicate effectively with clients, explaining technical issues and recommending appropriate solutions.
* Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient project completion and knowledge sharing.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited HVAC technical program or apprenticeship preferred.
* EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation.
* Strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical circuits, and refrigeration cycles.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system issues using various tools and diagnostic equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
* Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
