The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented designer who enjoys turning concepts into manufacturable hardware, creating high-quality engineering drawings, supporting prototype builds, and helping improve products through the design and production lifecycle.

Education + Experience
- Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, drafting, or product development.
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, industrial equipment, or other complex mechanical systems is preferred

Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with Solidworks 3D CAD Software.
- Experience creating:
- 3D part and assembly models
- Detailed manufacturing drawings
- Assembly documentation
- Engineering change documentation
- Understanding of GD&T principles and tolerance application.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies including:
- Machined components
- Weldments and structural components
- Sheet metal parts
- Brackets, fixtures, and structural components
- Hardware integration and packaging
- Understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, fabrication, finishing, and assembly.
- Ability to collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to resolve design issues.
- Experience supporting prototype builds, production assembly, and design improvements.
- Experience working in an Aerospace, Defense, or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with configuration management and engineering change processes.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
- Experience designing weight-optimized structures, enclosures, mechanisms, or electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience supporting supplier or manufacturing reviews.
- Familiarity with specifying coatings or corrosion protection.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, testing, or inspection processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to design accuracy.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a cross-functional team.
- Practical problem-solving approach with a focus on manufacturable solutions.
- Ability to take ownership of assigned designs and follow projects through completion.
- Positive, collaborative attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
