Job Description – Frontend Strat Platform Engineer (X42 UI & Desk Tools)

We are seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer to join our Strats technology team, focusing on the development and evolution of modern UI platforms, including the X42 interface ecosystem and other Strat-driven desk tooling. This role goes beyond migration work, encompassing the design, build, and maintenance of scalable, high-impact user interfaces that directly support trading desks and business workflows.

The successful candidate will work closely with Strats, Traders, and global stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into intuitive interface solutions, and deliver robust, production-grade applications that enhance desk productivity and decision-making.

Key responsibilities include developing and enhancing UI platforms, contributing to strategic interface frameworks, and leveraging modern technologies—including emerging GenAI capabilities—to build intelligent and adaptive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications across X42 UI platforms and other Strat interface tools

• Partner with Strats and Trading desks to understand business workflows and translate them into scalable UI solutions

• Build reusable components, libraries, and frameworks to accelerate UI delivery across desks

• Contribute to modernization initiatives, including selective migration of legacy AngularJS applications to React-based architectures

• Ensure high standards of code quality through code reviews, testing, and performance optimization

• Collaborate with global teams across regions, aligning with London trading hours where required

• Integrate and experiment with GenAI capabilities to enhance UI intelligence, automation, and user productivity

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on frontend engineering

• Proven expertise in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+) ecosystems

• Experience building scalable UI platforms and reusable component libraries

• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles in trading or data-intensive environments

• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to drive requirements and delivery

• Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in a global, collaborative setup

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Angular / AngularJS (especially in modernization or migration contexts)

• Exposure to financial markets, trading systems, or front-office tooling

• Experience working with Strat teams or in a quantitative/front-office engineering environment

• Familiarity with UI platform architecture (e.g., micro-frontends, modular UI frameworks)

• Experience or strong interest in GenAI technologies, including building AI-assisted workflows, copilots, or intelligent UI features
