General Manager

Boca Paddle by CityPickle, slated to open in mid-November, is a premier racquet sports and lifestyle destination redefining how people play, connect, and unwind. Located in Boca Raton, the club blends world-class pickleball and padel with elevated hospitality, offering member-driven experience anchored by exceptional service, vibrant community, and best-in-class facilities.

Position Overview:

The General Manager will serve as the CEO of Boca Paddle by CityPickle, responsible for shaping the club’s culture, driving business performance, and delivering an exceptional hospitality and member experience. As the onsite leader of the business, the General Manager will oversee all aspects of club operations including pickleball and padel programming, membership, events, retail, marketing, and facilities management.

This role requires an entrepreneurial and hospitality-driven leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, inspires high-performing teams, and is passionate about building community through sports, wellness, and social connection.

The General Manager will report directly to CityPickle’s Vice President of Club Operations.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

• In collaboration with CityPickle’s Vice President of Operations, set the strategic and business goals for Boca Paddle. Ensure strategies are effectively carried out in order to meet revenue targets. 
• Identify and execute on opportunities for growth, innovation, and new revenue streams through market awareness and community engagement.
• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Represent Boca Paddle by CityPickle in alignment with the brand’s values, standards, and mission.
• Maintain a strong and visible presence throughout the club, building relationships with members, guests, staff, and partners.

Pre-Opening & Launch

• In collaboration with the CityPickle corporate team, lead pre-opening operational planning and launch execution.
• Develop SOPs, staffing plans, and service standards.
• Ensure operational readiness across all departments prior to opening.

Operations and Facility Management

• Oversee all day-to-day club operations, ensuring an elevated hospitality experience for members and guests.
• Lead and oversee all onsite departments including Membership, Racquets, Marketing, Retail, Operations, and Events while collaborating closely with CityPickle’s corporate team to ensure alignment and coordination.
• Coordinate with Farmer’s Table to ensure the onsite F&B program is first rate, meets the needs of Boca Paddle’s members and guests, and supports all Events.
• Oversee the maintenance of the club including all necessary repairs, trash removal, cleaning, landscaping, and pest control. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors.

Financial Management and Compliance

• Monitor key business metrics including membership, program utilization, event sales, and retail performance to optimize revenue and profitability.
• Partner with CityPickle’s VP of Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning.
• Utilize HubSpot and other reporting tools to guide business decisions and track performance metrics.
• Work closely with CityPickle’s Human Resources team to implement HR policies and ensure the location is in compliance with legal requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience (7+ years) in an operations management role, ideally within sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries, with progressive levels of responsibility.
• Creative, entrepreneurial approach to establishing a new business
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a customer-facing role, managing large teams, and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• A multi-tasker comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
