About the role:
The Field Sales Manager will lead Dyson’s field sales organization across Austria, based in Vienna. This role is accountable for delivering national sales performance through strong team leadership, retail execution excellence and close collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead, coach and develop the Austrian field sales team, setting clear priorities, measurable targets and consistent standards of execution.
- Build a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and customer experience excellence.
- Drive sellout growth across Austria by translating commercial plans into effective field activity with retail partners and in-store teams.
- Lead on the Dyson AT retail strategy to stay ahead of competition in a constantly evolving retailer landscape.
- Ensure best-in-class retail execution across the Austrian market, including store standards, product presence, demonstrations, training and launch readiness.
- Use sales data, market insights and competitor intelligence to identify opportunities, address performance gaps and deliver an accurate sellout plan.
- Partner closely with Head of Market, Retail, Key Account, Demand Planning, Marketing, Training and Operations teams to align plans and deliver consistent execution across Austria.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term initiatives that improve sales effectiveness, field productivity and retail partner performance.
- Travel regularly across Austria to support the team, review execution in the field and maintain strong visibility of market performance.
Be an active member of the Austrian Leadership Team:
- Act as a senior member of the Austrian Leadership Team, contributing field insight, sales performance updates and clear recommendations to support business decisions.
- Build trusted relationships with retail partners and internal stakeholders.
- Represent the field sales organization in leadership discussions, ensuring team priorities, retail opportunities and market risks are clearly understood.
- Lead by example, role-modelling Dyson behaviors and creating a culture of collaboration, accountability and constructive challenge.
- Provide clear feedback and challenge to peers and stakeholders where needed to improve performance, strengthen execution and deliver better outcomes for the business.
- Remain adaptable and open to challenge, adjusting priorities and ways of working in response to changing retail conditions and business needs.
About you:
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, field sales or retail leadership roles, ideally within a premium consumer goods, technology or fast-paced retail environment.
- Proven track record of leading, coaching and developing high-performing sales teams across multiple locations or territories.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate sales strategy into clear field priorities, measurable actions and strong business results.
- Confident people leader with experience in setting expectations, managing performance, building engagement and developing future talent. Deep understanding of retail execution, in-store excellence, customer experience and how field teams influence sales performance, as well as delivering the sellout forecast.
- Highly analytical and comfortable using sales data, market insight and performance reporting to identify opportunities and drive decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders, retail partners and cross-functional teams.
- Strong presentation, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent Dyson professionally at all levels.
- Fluent German (min. C2) and advanced English language skills are required; knowledge of the Austrian retail market is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel regularly across Austria to support the field team, visit retail partners and maintain strong market visibility.
