  • Review and negotiate commercial terms, contract structures, amendments, claims, and dispute resolutions to ensure best value and risk mitigation.
  • Analyze bids, proposals, and quotations to assess commercial, technical, quality, delivery, and supplier performance considerations.
  • Provide procurement and commercial advice to stakeholders on sourcing strategies, contract development, negotiation approaches, supplier management, and industry best practices.
  • Support supplier performance programs by establishing metrics, monitoring results, and driving improvements in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Lead and facilitate RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and tendering activities to support operational and strategic business objectives.
  • Conduct commercial risk assessments and collaborate with legal, financial, tax, and risk specialists to develop optimal business solutions.
  • Ensure all procurement and contracting activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and ethical business practices.
  • Maintain contract documentation, supplier records, performance metrics, and procurement files to support effective governance and decision-making.
  • Monitor supplier performance and contract execution, resolving issues and coordinating corrective actions to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Prepare business cases, reports, recommendations, and procurement documentation to support organizational decision-making.
  • Act as a trusted resource for internal stakeholders and suppliers on procurement processes, contract administration, and commercial matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Four-year university education in an appropriate field, such as Business Administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • More than 6 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, contract management, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement, contract negotiation, and project management; supply chain experience in nuclear, energy, or other highly regulated and complex industries is considered an asset.
  • Experience in new build of complex industrial projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of purchasing principles, quality management, contract law, commercial evaluations, and supplier relationship management.
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and audit processes related to procurement and contracting.
  • Experience procuring services and materials within complex, highly regulated environments; nuclear industry experience is an asset.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate commercial opportunities, develop sourcing strategies, and solve complex business challenges.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess supplier performance, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement.
