Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Perform personal care for patients and other duties as assigned under the direct supervision and guidance of professional nursing or physician personnel in assigned area.
- Provides patient care during hyperbaric oxygen therapy and participates in hyperbaric chamber dives.
- The delivery of patient care at Kettering Medical Center (KMC) reflects the philosophies, missions, vision and values of the organization and wound care centers.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of KMC nursing assistant trainee program, or successful completion of state testing nursing assistant program (STNA certification), surgical technician or completion of LPN, EMT or EMTP training.
- Preferred training and experience in wound care management.
- Current CPR certification
- Completion of annual Corporate Integrity training
- Maintains competencies & skills of specialty area of practice (see unit education files).
Preferred Qualifications
Wound Care experience preferred.
