Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Validation Engineer with expertise in Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon validation of SoCs/ASICs, extensive knowledge of high-speed and low-speed peripheral interfaces, and strong Embedded Software/Firmware development skills. The ideal candidate will drive validation strategy, test development, debug, silicon bring-up, and product qualification activities from architecture review through production readiness.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon Validation.
- Strong understanding of SoC architecture and subsystem interactions.
- Experience with ARM-based multicore SoCs and embedded systems.
- Deep understanding of hardware-software interaction.
- Experience with lab equipment and protocol analyzers.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architecture, micro-architecture, and design specifications for SoC/IP features.
- Develop validation plans, test strategies, and coverage metrics.
- Work closely with Design, Verification, Firmware, and Architecture teams to ensure feature completeness and quality.
- Develop and execute validation test plans on FPGA, Emulation, and Silicon platforms.
- Develop validation plan for stress test scenarios for subsystem and SoC-level
- Lead first-silicon bring-up and characterization activities.
- Validate functional correctness and compliance.
- Debug silicon issues using logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, SWD, and trace tools.
- Root cause failures and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Support customer issue resolution and field failure analysis.
- Strong experience validating and debugging for the peripherals QSPI, XSPI, I2S, UART, SPI, I2C/I3C, CAN / CAN-FD, LIN
- Peripheral Compliance and interoperability testing.
- Throughput-Speed, latency, stress, and error injection testing.
- PHY and controller-level debug.
- Develop Embedded C firmware for silicon validation.
- Create board bring-up software and diagnostic frameworks.
- Develop bare-metal, RTOS, based validation applications.
- Driver development and debugging for peripheral interfaces.
- Implement test automation frameworks for silicon validation.
- Develop scripts using Python, Shell, or Perl for automation and data analysis.
- Analyze boot flow, initialization sequences, and firmware interactions.
- Debug firmware, hardware, and system-level issues.
