Reporting Line

Reports to: IT Manager – Reporting Capabilities (DMRR Shared Apps)

Job Purpose

The Data Analyst Trainee will support the DMRR Shared Applications team in the automation and execution of testing activities related to the migration of the SAS-based Infocentre platform from legacy infrastructure (ATOS) to OVH Cloud.

The role contributes to ensuring:

  • Data consistency and completeness across environments
  • Industrialisation of testing processes
  • Reduction of manual validation effort

The trainee will work on data validation frameworks, reconciliation processes, and automated test execution supporting the overall migration program


Key Responsibilities

1. Automated Testing Development

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks covering:SAS job execution validationReport and dataset validationEnd-to-end process testing
  • Develop scripts (SAS / Python) to:Execute test cases across environments (legacy vs OVH)Detect discrepancies and generate structured outputs
  • Standardise test outputs for reuse and reporting

2. Data Validation & Reconciliation

  • Perform data reconciliation between source and target environments
  • Analyse:Input/output data flowsBatch processing outputsCritical datasets used in reporting chains
  • Build reusable comparison logic:Record-level checksAggregated controls (KPIs, totals, volumes)
  • Document data discrepancies and support investigation

3. Testing Execution Support

  • Participate in test cycles across multiple environments:Sandbox / DevPre‑Production (EUA)Production validation phases
  • Support:Regression testing of SAS processesBatch validation and scheduling checks
  • Assist in prioritisation of test scope based on data criticality

4. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Produce structured outputs on:Test execution statusIdentified defects and anomalies
  • Contribute to development of dashboards (Power BI / Python):Migration readiness indicatorsData quality trends
  • Support reporting to IT and project governance bodies

5. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to:Automate repetitive validation tasksImprove efficiency of testing processes
  • Contribute to documentation of:Testing proceduresData validation rules
  • Develop understanding of DMRR data ecosystem and reporting flows

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Master’s degree (or currently pursuing) in:Data AnalyticsComputer ScienceEngineering or equivalent

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of:Python (pandas or equivalent data libraries)SQL and relational data concepts
  • Interest in:SAS environment (SAS Base / SAS Studio)Data pipelines and batch processing
  • Familiarity with:Git / version control (preferred)Cloud environments (preferred)
