The immediate vacancies are with the Department of Accounting and General Services (DAGS) and Department of Transportation (DOT) Airports.  

Shift Work: Some positions may require applicants to work rotating shifts/including evenings, weekends and holidays.

This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancies and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. To qualify, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK : The State of Hawaii Requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

Electrician License:  A valid State of Hawaii Journey Worker Electrician License, Journey Worker Industrial Electrician License, Supervising Electrician License, or Supervising Industrial Electrician License is required at the time of application.

NOTE:  Hawaii does not have reciprocity agreements with other jurisdictions.

Driver's License:  Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.

Physical Requirements:  Some positions may require lifting and carrying objects of varying weights without assistance or with the assistance of another person and/or the use of equipment (e.g., hoisting equipment, hand truck, etc.) for heavier loads, with or without reasonable accommodation.  The immediate vacancy has this requirement.

 The examination for this recruitment will be conducted on an unassembled basis where the examination score is based on an evaluation and rating of your education and experience.
