We are searching for the best talent for Vicryl Utility General position.
Responsible for using equipment for the assembly and processing tasks to produce finished products according to established specifications. Accountable for adhering to all quality and safety guidelines. The General Utility operator is responsible for producing bobbins of absorbable fiber in preparation for the braiding department. The operator must act in accordance with process specifications and procedures. Entry support individual contributor that completes routine tasks under close supervision, following a defined standard output or set of procedures. Provides assistance to internal teams in the Manufacturing Assembly area. Closely follows established administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. Maintains high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal.
You will be responsible for:
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
- Conducts routine tasks for the support function of the Manufacturing Assembly area under direct supervision, and closely follows established administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
- Completes maintenance tasks based on best practices in the industry in order to foster a safe working environment.
- Installs components of basic in-process products, assemblies, or sub-assemblies on the assembly line.
- Develops competency with routine machinery under direct supervision.
- Records daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis.
- Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo.
- Operates production equipment to produce subassemblies or finished products.
- Assists with set up of equipment.
- Assists with quality control inspections of products on assembly line.
- Cleans equipment as needed.
- Notifies supervisor of maintenance and/or repairs needed on equipment.
- Prepares accurate records/documentation related to work in progress.
- Reports production problems.

Qualifications / Requirements:
Education
- High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent skills, experience, or training
Experience and Skills
Required Skills:
- Computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills.
- Problem solving.
- Ability to use lasermike, diameter gauge, hand-held diameter gauge, tensiometer, read scales, tachometer, pyrometer, ruler, calculator, copier and label making equipment.
- General knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Maintain production records.
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, average, percentages, tolerances.
