CDL A Yard Jockey

Responsibilities

• McDonald's largest distributer worldwide
• No route driving, on-site yard work only
• Set schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 4:00pm-4:00am
• 3 weeks paid time off (PTO) within your first year
• 3 consecutive days off weekly  
• Paid weekly

Position Responsibilities:  

• The CDL A Yard Jockey maneuvers and back trailers into loading docks, opens bay doors, prepare trailer, and assist in loading/unloading product 
• Maneuver trailers into parking slips to ensure there is no traffic back up in the yard 
• The CDL A Yard Jockey follows all safety protocols including performing safety checks to secure trailer and operating all equipment in a safe and professional manner 
• Use other warehouse equipment to help load products into trailers 
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure they are clean and in good working condition 
• Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:  

• Must be 21 years of age 
• Must have a valid Class A driver’s license and 0 to 1 plus years of specific driving experience 
• Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds

Preferred Education and Experience:  

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
