Description
Anesthesiologist
Physician Partnership Track
Leading Physician-Owned Multispecialty Group | Department of Anesthesia
Wenatchee, North Central Washington • Full-Time, Permanent • Equally Shared Call • On-Site (Relocation Required & Supported)
Our client — a physician-owned, multispecialty medical group affiliated with the only integrated health system serving a 12,000-square-mile region of North Central Washington, and a Silver-level honoree of the American Medical Association’s Joy in Medicine™ program for measurable work to reduce physician burnout — is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist to join an established, collegial anesthesia practice. You will deliver anesthesia across a genuinely diverse case mix — general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, vascular, interventional, OB/GYN, neurosurgery and trauma — with the opportunity, not the obligation, to take on cardiac cases alongside a dedicated subgroup of partners. Physicians here do their own cases and do not supervise CRNAs, so your day is spent practicing medicine at the head of the bed, not managing a coverage matrix. You will function as a valued, decision-making member of a physician-led team — not as an isolated provider buried under paperwork or another organization’s productivity targets.
Why This Role Is Different
- True Clinical Autonomy— You perform your own cases and never supervise CRNAs. Research on attending anesthesiologists found that feeling unsupported at work was the single strongest predictor of burnout — by a wide margin. Here, the practice model is designed around your clinical hands, not a supervision ratio.
- A Caseload That Keeps You Sharp— A broad subspecialty mix from trauma and neuro to OB and vascular keeps the work varied and engaging — with an optional path into cardiac alongside experienced partners. No fellowship is required to join.
- A Real Seat at the Table— This is a physician-owned group with physician leaders and decision-makers at every level and a one-year partnership track. Nationally, barely half of physicians say they feel valued by their organization; here your influence over the practice is structural, not symbolic.
- Equitably Shared Call— Call is divided equally among the physicians in the department — no lopsided burden quietly handed to the newest hire, and no surprise coverage built on chronic short-staffing.
- Protected Time to Actually Live— Up to 11 weeks of time off and a do-your-own-cases model with real boundaries — so recovery, family, and the outdoors aren’t theoretical perks but part of the job’s design.
- An Employer That Invests in Keeping You— Joy in Medicine recognition, fully employer-paid medical, dental and vision premiums for your whole family, and student-loan counseling for the life of your loans signal an organization that measures retention by wellbeing, not just RVUs.
