Are you committed to improving population health, reducing health inequalities, and driving meaningful change across the healthcare system?

We are looking for a Healthcare Development Manager to support the development of smoking and vaping cessation services across the NHS. This is a highly visible role combining market access, stakeholder engagement, service development, account management and healthcare education to improve patient access to evidence-based smoking cessation interventions.

Working across secondary care, ICSs, ICBs, NHS Trusts, Public Health teams, Stop Smoking Services and community healthcare providers, you will build strategic partnerships that support pathway development, service optimisation and the delivery of local tobacco dependency strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across secondary care, ICSs, ICBs, NHS Trusts, Public Health teams, commissioners and community services.
  • Support the development and implementation of smoking cessation and tobacco dependency pathways.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient access, service delivery and treatment adoption.
  • Deliver educational programmes, workshops, webinars and stakeholder meetings.
  • Analyse healthcare data and local priorities to identify opportunities and inform account strategy.
  • Gather and share market insights, policy developments and best practice.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical, analytics and compliance.
  • Support healthcare organisations in translating national guidance into local practice.

About You

You will bring a strong understanding of the NHS together with the ability to engage, influence and develop long-term partnerships across complex healthcare systems.

Essential Requirements

  • ABPI qualified.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare services, public health or a related healthcare environment.
  • Experience engaging and influencing healthcare professionals and healthcare decision-makers.
  • Experience working with NHS stakeholders, including secondary care, ICSs, ICBs, commissioners, NHS Trusts or Public Health organisations.
  • Strong account management, stakeholder engagement and territory planning skills.
  • Ability to analyse healthcare data and identify service development opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational, project management and digital engagement capabilities.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to contribute to one of the UK's most important public health priorities while working collaboratively with healthcare organisations to improve patient outcomes. You will have the autonomy to build influential partnerships, shape local services and make a measurable impact on smoking cessation across the NHS.
