Overview
To implement and provide quality interactions utilizing a facility dog in order to support the emotional, developmental, and psychosocial needs of patients in a health care setting. To provide opportunities for patients to gain a sense of mastery, offering distraction and learning experiences, to assist patients in meeting medical goals, and encouraging family and peer interaction through facility dog interventions.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Require Bachelor’s degree
EXPERIENCE: One year experience in hospital environment with patient care.
