Description
Our client is a well-regarded Hong Kong corporate boutique house whose partners bring international pedigree — trained and had glittering careers at US and leading international law firms — combined with deep, long-standing Hong Kong market expertise. The firm is recognised for the quality and diversity of its corporate practice, encompassing a controlled but varied volume of IPO work across the Main Board and GEM of the HKEx (including H Share and Red Chip listings), secondary market transactions (rights issues, placings, block trades), listing rules and Takeovers Code compliance advisory, and both public and private M&A across a broad range of industries. The team also advises high-net-worth clients and corporates on cross-border transactions and general commercial matters. Partners have advised on transactions spanning technology, financial services, real estate, education, natural resources, food and beverage, and industrials — giving the successful candidate exposure to a genuinely varied deal flow from day one.
Our client is seeking a Corporate Paralegal / Legal Executive to support its partners and associates across its full range of corporate transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting on IPO documentation and listing applications, preparing and reviewing transaction documents for M&A and disposal mandates, conducting due diligence, corporate secretarial support, liaising with regulators and exchanges, and general legal research on corporate law and listing rules. The team is open to candidates across the seniority spectrum — from an exceptional junior with a minimum of six months relevant experience through to a seasoned paralegal with five or more years under their belt — and recognises that different levels of experience bring different strengths to the group.
Candidates with hands-on IPO team experience at a reputable law firm in Hong Kong, and who are highly fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin, are particularly encouraged to apply. The firm has a track record of offering training and development pathways for the right candidates, and this role offers genuine scope for progression within a collaborative, partner-led team.
