What you'll do:

  • Take the lead in delivering smart, tailored equipment solutions that drive real value for our customers—and for Vandalia Rental.
  • Serve as a trusted expert and go-to resource, confidently guiding customers through our services and capabilities.
  • Proactively seek out new business opportunities by identifying and generating quality leads.
  • Follow through consistently with customer outreach, ensuring no opportunity goes untouched and every question gets answered.
  • Leverage every conversation to identify additional ways we can support our customers— continually advising with insight and integrity.
  • Own both inbound and outbound communications—managing calls with confidence, urgency, and clarity.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and operations to execute fast, effective solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Manage customer interactions through our ERP system—entering quotes, reservations, and contracts with accuracy and speed while juggling a multi-line phone system.
  • Stay sharp and informed by keeping a pulse on industry trends and market shifts—using that insight to better position our services and anticipate customer needs.

Requirements

  • Optimistic, outgoing attitude and you must like to have fun
  • Experience in equipment rental or similar industry preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer service skills are a must
  • Great communication skills, both written and oral
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Technologically proficient and comfortable using a computer and Microsoft Office products
  • Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to start and operate equipment for testing and demonstration
  • Must be able to lift 75+ lbs. with assistance
  • Must be able to read and write English proficiently
  • Must be able to be exposed to dirt, grease, oils, loud noise and other elements common with construction and industrial workplaces
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
