Position Summary:

The shipping team member will assist with daily processes and tasks in the shipping department. Accountable for knowing the daily schedule and knowing what orders to fulfill per the schedule requirements. This position requires good communication skills including the ability to work well with fellow employees and internal departments. Also requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Proactively work with shipping team members and shipping manager regarding customer orders, shop orders, production timing, shipping schedules and ship dates.
• Understand daily goals and daily schedule.
• Demonstrate a desire to strive toward common goals, using social intelligence, an openness to change, and above all, the ability to set their sights on the things that truly merit attention.
• Ability to see and understand the staging of different bagging and boxing stations in shipping to know what needs to happen next.
• Willingness to learn new things including changing over bagging and boxing stations for certain products next in the queue.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds
• Ability to adapt to changes in priority.
• Ability to serve the needs of individuals for the benefit of the team’s accomplishments (“do what it takes” to get the job done)
• Ability to follow all shipping procedures and safety measures for everyone’s safety.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a shipping environment is preferred.
• Quality inspection, sorting and counting experience preferred.
• Experience using an ERP system; Shop Track and Syteline a plus.
• Must be organized, motivated, and coachable.

Educational Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Pay Rate:   $17 / Hour  - bi-weekly pay

Shift: 1^st Shift 7AM – 3:30PM – 40 hours per week (on-site only)
