The Role

Fort Myers Community Church is looking for a Music Ministry Director to lead our people in worship that is rich in truth and full of God. We want a person who sings, a leader who builds, and a worshiper who points every eye to Jesus.

The Music Ministry Director oversees two areas: Music Ministry and Environments. Both serve one aim. When our church gathers, we want people to leave more amazed by God than by anything happening on the stage.

Music Ministry
The Director builds and leads the music ministry of FMCC and multiplies themself in others.

• Building and Leading: Plan, rehearse, and lead worship for Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and Thursday nights. Recruit and shepherd musicians and vocalists so each gathering is served with excellence and care.
• Raising Up Worship Leaders: Identify, train, and release worship leaders for every environment, from youth to kids to community gatherings. Success is not one strong leader on Sunday. Success is a bench of faithful leaders across the whole church.

Environments
The Director shapes environments of worship and prayer across every ministry of FMCC. What we sing teaches what we believe, so song selection is a theological task.

• Worship and Prayer Across All Ministries: Create rhythms of sung worship and prayer in Sunday gatherings, midweek services, youth, kids, and ministry events.
• Modern Contemporary Hymns: Lead songs that pair modern sound with timeless truth, both new hymns and the great hymns of the church.
• Godward Focused Worship: Choose songs that magnify the character and works of God and the finished work of Jesus.
