CT Technologist

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist II, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations i.e. Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro and Interventional Procedures
• Assists Interventional Radiologist by accurately scanning the area of interest requested by Radiologist i.e. biopsies and drainages
• Ensures patient is ready for scan i.e. confirms appropriate gauge IV needle, appropriate type/dose of contrast and allergy status
• Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol i.e. completes exams in Radnet, incident reports/extravasation forms, patient contrast information forms, side/site forms and documents exam information in CT log
• Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining area of interest and type of scan to be performed on patient, consults physician as necessary
• Encourages good working relationships, promotes team effort within the department by communicating in a positive manner and motivates staff

Job Requirements

Required

• Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved RadiologicTechnologist Program and
• Medical Radiographer: AZ,  and
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS),  and
• CT Radiology Tech: AZ, and
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT,  or
• Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry,  or
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography,  or
• Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography,  or
• Registered Technologist Mammography,  or
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging,  or
• Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology,  or
• Registered Technologist Quality Management,  or
• Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy,  or
• Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Rad, or
• Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography

Preferred

• Three years of CT experience
