There are multiple openings in New York City and Salt Lake City for engineers who enjoy building cloud-native, event-driven systems with Java, Spring Boot, microservices and Kafka, and who already know the standards that financial services platforms demand.
THE CHALLENGE
You will design, build and run enterprise applications on public cloud, turning business needs into reliable microservices, APIs and data pipelines that support banking operations.
The role is fully hands-on: you will write production code every day, own your services from design to deployment, and help modernize applications as they move to the cloud.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications on GCP, AWS or Azure.
- Build microservices with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka and Pub/Sub, following event-driven and distributed-systems patterns.
- Design and implement APIs for internal and external consumers.
- Work with PostgreSQL / Azure SQL and BigQuery for transactional and analytical data.
- Containerize services with Docker and deploy them on Kubernetes.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Take part in cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 4 to 7 years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8 / 11 / 17 and Python.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with at least one public cloud: GCP, AWS or Azure.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Azure SQL.
- Solid knowledge of API design, event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience in the financial services industry (required).
- Strong hands-on coding skills.
- Bachelor's degree.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with cloud migration or application modernization projects.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
- Experience with Kafka or Pub/Sub at scale and with BigQuery.
