Junior Food R&D (Dumplings & Asian Cuisine)

Job Responsibilities

1. Assist in developing new dumpling products and other Asian food products, including recipe improvement and product optimisation.
2. Adapt product flavours, textures and ingredient combinations to suit consumer preferences in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
3. Conduct recipe trials for dumpling fillings, wrappers, seasonings and related food products.
4. Support sample preparation, sensory evaluations, product testing and tasting sessions.
5. Maintain accurate R&D records, recipes, trial results, technical documentation and product specifications.
6. Coordinate with purchasing, operations and other relevant teams to evaluate ingredients and product performance.
7. Assist in product standardisation and support compliance with food quality and safety requirements.
8. Carry out other food R&D tasks assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Culinary Science or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interest in food product development, Asian cuisine and dumpling products.
• Basic knowledge of food ingredients, recipe formulation, food safety and product testing.
• Good documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Singapore and Southeast Asian consumer taste preferences is an advantage.
• Relevant internships or experience in food R&D, culinary product development or the F&B industry will be an advantage.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required for communication with Mandarin-speaking product development and management teams in China.
