Our client, a renowned luxury resort in Jamaica, is seeking an experienced Industrial Zone Maintenance Manager to play a critical role in the seamless operation of their world-class property.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled and proactive leader to oversee the resort's essential infrastructure and utility systems, ensuring the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing key operational systems, including power generation, water treatment, wastewater management, HVAC, boilers, pumps, and other industrial plant equipment that support the guest experience behind the scenes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of industrial equipment, machinery, and essential utility systems.
- Supervise critical infrastructure, including HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, generators, pumps, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supervise, train, and support maintenance technicians within the assigned zone.
- Conduct interviews in coordination with the HR Department.
- Assign daily work orders and monitor completion of tasks.
- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and accountability among team members.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Support emergency response procedures related to facilities or equipment failures.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to resolve maintenance issues affecting guest satisfaction.
- Communicate major repair needs or equipment replacement requirements to the Resort Maintenance Manager.
- Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, supplies, and spare parts.
- Ensure proper use of materials and resources to control costs.
- Assist with budgeting and planning for maintenance projects within the zone.
- Coordinate and carry out visits to all departments to identify if there is any need for improvement.
- Promote, in coordination with Managers and Departmental heads, energy saving programs, in which all employees and the guests themselves participate.
- Conduct briefings with staff members.
- Make order requisitions to the Purchasing Department for needed materials and equipment through 2BEND.
- Ensure that the department is clean and tidy, with the appropriate safety signs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical diploma or certification in Engineering, Facilities Management, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Maintenance experience in hospitality, facilities management or a related field.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
