As an Insurance Account Specialist & Rental Agent at Space City Toyota, you will play a key role in growing our rental business by building relationships with insurance companies, claims adjusters, and local auto body shops. This position focuses primarily on business development, insurance account management, and coordinating rental claims. You will also assist with rental counter operations as needed to support daily business activities and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies, claims adjusters, and local auto body shops by phone and email to promote rental services and generate customer referrals.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with insurance representatives and collision repair centers to increase rental business.
• Promote and establish our Direct-Bill program, onboarding insurance carriers so they can pay rental charges directly.
• Manage insurance accounts and serve as a primary point of contact for adjusters regarding rental extensions, billing updates, and vehicle repair timelines.
• Track rental durations, length of rental (LOR), claims documentation, and insurance billing requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of insurance accounts, claims, rental agreements, and related paperwork.
• Assist customers with rental inquiries, prepare rental agreements, and process vehicle checkouts and returns as needed.
• Support daily rental operations, help maintain an organized fleet, and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

  Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in insurance claims, insurance adjusting, or auto body shop service writing (required)
• Knowledge of insurance direct billing, rental extensions, and length-of-rental (LOR) tracking
• Strong phone and email communication skills, with the ability to build professional business relationships
• Comfortable making outbound calls, promoting services, and developing new business opportunities
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple accounts, claims, and deadlines
• Customer-focused with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Team player who works well with all departments and can assist with rental counter duties as needed
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
• Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

 License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
