UPM is looking for a Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for a smaller country payroll or specialist in one or more operational aspects of a large payroll.

What you will do

• Manage small development projects
• Manage the entire payroll process for Mexico, utilizing external payroll provider
• Review and final approval for all LATAM payrolls
• Be responsible for the compliance of payroll services to the standards required by the Company
• Manage and monitor the payroll service to ensure that the organization’s payroll is processed accurately and on time
• Provide managers, employees and human resources with expertise in payroll
• Main contact between the business and external vendor for all payroll matters
• Handle all payroll related requests from customers such as reports, updates to current reports
• Make sure all payrolls are compliance per labor regulations in each country
• Back up to team members when they go out on vacation.

Who you are

• You have at least 2 years of payroll processing experience in Mexico.
• You have at least 3 years of payroll experience supporting multiple countries across Latin America (LATAM).
• You have experience with ADP Celergo; experience with other global or regional payroll platforms will also be considered.
• You have native-level or advanced professional fluency in English and can communicate confidently and effectively in a business environment, including leading meetings, collaborating with stakeholders, and handling written communications.
• You have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Travel requirements - ability to travel internationally is required. This position will require occasional business travel, typically a few times per year, with travel most often to the United States for team meetings, training, project work, and other business-related activities.
