Job Details
New ideas are all around us, but only a few will change the world. That’s our focus at JPL. We ask the biggest questions, then search the universe for answers—literally. We build upon ideas that have guided generations, then share our discoveries to inspire generations to come. Your mission—your opportunity—is to seek out the answers that bring us one step closer. If you’re driven to discover, create, and inspire something that lasts a lifetime and beyond, you’re ready for JPL.
Located in Pasadena, California, JPL has a campus-like environment situated on 177 acres in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains and offers a work environment unlike any other: we inspire passion, foster innovation, build collaboration, and reward excellence.
As an Academic Part-Time Intern, you will be a member of the Financial Strategy, Planning & Analysis Office (FSP&A) at JPL and will report to the Manager of the FSP&A Team.
The FSP&A Office supports JPL's financial strategy, institutional planning, and decision-making through financial analysis, budget development, forecasting, and performance monitoring. The team works collaboratively across the organization to provide financial insights, support operational activities, and identify opportunities to improve business processes.
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis, business operations, data management, and process improvement. The intern will work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and explore innovative approaches to enhancing organizational effectiveness through technology and automation.
Through this role, the intern will develop analytical, technical, and business skills while supporting a variety of financial and operational initiatives. Opportunities may include developing financial reports, organizing documentation, preparing management presentations, analyzing financial data, and contributing to technology-enabled process improvements.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with financial analysts and multidisciplinary teams across JPL to support business requirements, special projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
