Job Description:
The job holder will join a team of A/C Performance Engineers for the mission of developing and maintaining the full set of A/C Performance tools (EFB, PEP, PAADMIN) as well as supporting the Customers and end-users (Pilots, A/C Performance Engineers, Mission Planners and Flight Test).
The activity will cover and may vary between four main programs: A400M, A330 MRTT and C295/CN235 platforms.
1. Accountabilities
The job holder will have the following main accountabilities:
Manage the development of Aircraft Performance Tools for Military transport A/C, including Electronic Flight Bag (Flysmart, LTA+ and future SW), Performance Engineer Program (PEP) and Performance Administration Tool (PAADMIN) with the associated development team.
Support the development of Aircraft performance data on Flight Operations Manuals: Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM) and Aircraft Performance Data Manual (APD).
Customer support: response to customer queries related to A/C performance operational queries, Performance tools and Electronic Flight Bag.
Provide Aircraft Performance expertise for Training and Flight Operations organization (TAST) for all present and future programs.
Report to Flight Operations Aircraft Performance Responsible inside the organization on the activities, risks and issues for Flight Operations Aircraft Performance under his/her responsibilities.
2. Main activities
Develop customer Services Performance Tools inside TASTO31 scope and with the associated stakeholders (Navblue, Airbus Customer Services Performance Department, Design Office Performance department, Software development organizations), including Software Requirements definition, Development follow-up, Testing and delivery to customers.
Management (development and inclusion) of the Aircraft performance data in Flight Operations Manuals (Aircraft Performance Data Manual (APD) and Flight Crew Operating Manual (FCOM) following the associated regulations and in liaison with related engineering departments
Answer to customer queries on Aircraft performance and on the use of the Performance tools.
Contribute to SW development transversal projects with the competences and know-how as required.
Support to other internal departments such as Design Office, Mission Planning and Flight test teams.
Support the development of Flight Operations Services, and deliver on-time/cost/quality the Flight Operations services contracted by the Customers in accordance with the requirements defined by the Programmes directives. Specifically support Flight Operations on-site teams service (training of new personnel and remote support when requested).
Work with Airbus Commercial France, particularly with Airbus Customer Services (STLG) and Design Offices, Software development contractor, Flight Test and others, for such activities.
Manage subcontracted work-packages allocated to the department for Flight Operations Aircraft Performance.
Manage the right balance between cost and quality for each product to ensure that the cost-targets are always met to the satisfaction of the Programmes requirements.
Manage the risks to the projects’ successful outcome: Identify risks and define and implement mitigations plans.
Maintain customer relations and support training material and deliveries on Flight Operations Aircraft Performance.
Reports Flight Operations Aircraft Performance Responsible inside TASTO31 on defined activities performance.
