Role Purpose:
The Engineer - MX Fixture Tools will take technical ownership of a broad portfolio of existing and released Fixture Tools, ensuring their availability, reliability, safety, and performance to support stable and uninterrupted production. Through preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and continuous improvement, the role will minimize unplanned downtime and maintain the required yield and process stability.
Working closely with Production, TPU, IE, R&D, suppliers, and other engineering teams, this position will identify technical improvement opportunities, implement sustainable solutions, and support the introduction of new Fixture Tools and automation concepts. You will also contribute to a Lean culture by applying structured problem-solving and data-driven improvement methods to strengthen manufacturing efficiency and equipment reliability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide technical ownership and support for assigned Fixture Tools, including day-to-day troubleshooting, technical assessment, repair, replacement, and performance improvement;
- Drive Fixture Tool reliability and availability through preventive maintenance, calibration, 5S, periodic cleaning, repair, reliability measurement, spare-part management, and safety compliance;
- Lead failure analysis and problem solving to identify root causes of Fixture Tool issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions, including component-level repair where applicable;
- Manage Fixture Tool lifecycle and documentation by supporting buy-off, traceability, technical records, drawings, manuals, maintenance plans, calibration certificates, and handover of new fixtures from IE/TD into production;
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders including TPU, Production, R&D, Value Engineering, IE/TD, and suppliers for fixture duplication, repair, maintenance, replacement, and technical improvement activities;
- Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve Fixture Tool performance, reduce downtime and production disruptions, and apply structured problem-solving and statistical analysis;
- Support automation and technology development by contributing to the concept design and implementation of semi-automation and automation solutions, while sharing technical knowledge and best practices across relevant technology areas;
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical education in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, with 3+ years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment;
- Communicate effectively in English (German, Vietnamese, Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, or other relevant local language capability is an advantage);
- Practical experience with Fixture Tools, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration, repair, and technical documentation, with good understanding of PCBA and manufacturing processes;
- Knowledge of technical drawings, CAD tools, GD&T, fixture design, measurement methods, and ERP/manufacturing order management systems;
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with practical application of Lean tools, statistical data analysis, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies;
- Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers, manage technical projects;
