Description
Locum General Surgery Physician Assistant
Put your surgical expertise to work supporting four hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgeons.
Why This Assignment
- Assignment Dates: ASAP start, ongoing
- Schedule: 7 a.m.–5 p.m., four days per week; no call
- Pay: $120/hour
- Support four HPB surgeons alongside three additional APPs
- Manage approximately 15 patients per shift in a 30-bed department
- Primarily inpatient rounding, admissions, and surgical service management, with occasional outpatient clinic coverage
- Care for patients with benign and malignant hepatobiliary and pancreatic conditions
- Epic EMR with RN, MA, and APP support
- Travel: Paid travel and expenses
About You
- Be able to do the job as described.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies, PA-C
- Active North Carolina Physician Assistant license
- BLS certification
- At least 1 year of general surgery experience, preferably HPB
- Comfortable managing inpatient surgical patients and admissions
