Description
GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., a Trinity Consultants team, is adding an Engineer In Training to join our growing team in the southwest. The Engineer in Training (EIT) supports the analysis, design, and technical documentation of mine reclamation, managed aquifer recharge, habitat restoration, and related engineering projects. Working under the direction of senior engineering staff, this position performs engineering analyses and design activities, supports project and task coordination, and develops technical expertise through progressively responsible project assignments and continued professional development.
What will I be doing?
- Perform engineering analyses and design activities related to stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, earthwork, landform stabilization, and related projects.
- Assist with the preparation of engineering designs, calculations, technical reports, specifications, drawings, and other project documentation.
- Collaborate with CAD designers and technical staff to develop engineering drawings, layouts, and design plans.
- Collect, manage, and evaluate technical data, including topographic, survey, mapping, and other project-related information.
- Monitor assigned task progress, identify potential challenges or delays, and communicate concerns to project managers and senior engineers.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subconsultants, and agencies to support project activities and deliverables.
- Participate in field investigations, site visits, data collection, and construction observations as needed.
What qualifications are required for this role?
- A bachelor's degree and/or a master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required or ability to obtain certification within twelve (12) months of hire.
- Previous relevant engineering experience in civil, environmental, water resources, geotechnical, mine reclamation, habitat restoration, or a related engineering field.
- Relevant engineering internship, academic research, field, or professional experience related to water resources, mine reclamation, restoration, environmental, or geotechnical engineering preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D and engineering modeling software preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $76,000 annually.
In addition, Geosystems Analysis has a discretionary bonus program that considers business profitability and individual performance.
