Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
The Life Sciences Program Executive is a senior, executive-facing individual contributor within the Global Life Sciences Acceleration Hub at Salesforce. In this role, you will lead our most complex and strategic Life Sciences customer engagements, overseeing multi-workstream transformations and enterprise implementations.
You will own the end-to-end program P&L, direct the Salesforce project team, lead steering committees, and manage executive customer relationships. The ideal candidate brings a deep background in Life Sciences (pharma, biotech, medtech) combined with IT or management consulting delivery experience, acting as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal teams. You will sit at the forefront of AI transformations that accelerate drug commercialization, streamline field engagement, and modernize operations through intelligent, autonomous agents.
Responsibilities
- Leverage AI tooling and workflow automation to optimize program delivery, reduce manual overhead, and drive efficiency for your project teams.
- Define the program strategy, governance, and management approach, ensuring alignment with executive stakeholders on key objectives and business outcomes.
- Serve as the primary executive-facing delivery contact, owning communications regarding performance, expectations, and issue resolution up to the CxO level.
- Foster and elevate high-performing cross-functional Professional Services teams, contributing to methodologies that improve service delivery across strategic accounts.
- Oversee end-to-end service delivery, maintaining accountability for program financials, including budget governance, bid-versus-delivered margins, and contract commitments.
- Drive the adoption of AI and transformational capabilities by aligning IT strategy and processes with measurable customer outcomes.
- Proactively anticipate, mitigate, and manage project risks, providing actionable recommendations and strategic guidance to leadership.
- Identify new opportunities and expand business relationships in partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to deliver mutual value.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of professional services or consulting delivery experience, with direct accountability for program execution, scope, financials, and risk management.
- 5+ years of Life Sciences industry experience (e.g., pharma, biotech, medtech) with the ability to engage credibly at the executive level on commercial, regulatory, and operational priorities.
- 5+ years of experience leading large, cross-functional delivery teams and third-party system integrators globally without positional authority.
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, complex programs ($10M+) with a track record of achieving measurable business outcomes.
- Proven experience managing program financials at the engagement level, including forecasting, revenue control, and earned value analysis.
- End-to-end knowledge of system development and implementation within regulated Life Sciences environments.
- Experience utilizing AI productivity tools, automation, or intelligent workflows within a program delivery context.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex conversations regarding budget, timelines, and outcomes across technical and commercial audiences.
- Ability to independently manage client engagements as an individual contributor.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience delivering enterprise-level AI platform implementations and advising Life Sciences customers on digital transformation.
- Deep knowledge of Life Sciences commercial operations, including field engagement, MSL workflows, territory management, and compliance controls.
- Experience with Life Sciences Cloud or equivalent CRM platforms purpose-built for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe certification, or equivalent program management discipline applied at scale.
- Experience operating in outcomes-based or fixed-fee delivery models.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including change order management and scope alignment.
- Willingness to obtain Salesforce platform certifications (e.g., Admin, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Life Sciences Cloud) post-hire through our global education reimbursement program.
Additional Information
- Ability to travel approximately 25%, depending on customer and project needs.
