Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a Cabins Structures Assembler (A220) - 2nd Shift (Contract) to join our team based in Mobile, AL
The Cabins Structure Assembler (Cabin Installer) is a critical part of the aircraft assembly process. The position requires previous knowledge of aircraft structure assembly and skill to complete the allocated tasks on Quality and On time. To be successful within this role, the Cabin installer must possess a high level of integrity, the ability to communicate clearly, and able to work alone and as part of a team in a high pressure environment to enable the delivery of a High Quality Aircraft and On Time Delivery to internal customers.
Cabin Installers are primarily responsible for installation of the electrical installations and cabin/cargo assembly. This assembly includes but is not limited to; wire harness routing, wire harness installation, wire termination, installation of cabin furnishings. Cabin Installers are also responsible for non-standard work in Mobile FAL which includes but is not limited to nonconformities, concessions and discrepancies that may have been created within the standard build process. High level flexibility required to ensure the station and final assembly line milestones are achieved; while operating at the highest level of Safety, Quality, Cost, and schedule adherence. You will be trained and qualified to work across multiple competencies in order to provide optimum support to Mobile FAL. Cabin Installers coach, train and mentor other team members to further enhance their Airbus production system knowledge, skills and
development. Acts as a trainer for new processes, initiatives and is a bastion of Safety and Quality within the team.

Your challenges:
- Arrive at work on time with the right mindset and be ready to work and compliant with all safety requirements.
- Complete allocated tasks on Time and on Quality.
- Understand the build process and specifications within the cabin installation Station.
- Work in compliance with production work orders and supporting documents. (e.g. Quality standards, drawings and SOI’s)
- Sign off work when tasks are completed.
- Clean as you go mindset.
- Complete installation of A220 Cabin – Seats, sidewall, carpet, cargo, lavatories, stowage bins, and ceiling panels.
- Perform standard work that includes but is not limited to wire harness andelectrical component installation and cabin furnishings assembly of theA220 aircraft.
Your boarding pass:
- 2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent including cabin/interior installation
- Previous hands-on experience with cabin installation including sidewalls, cargo, sidewalls, carpet, seats, ceiling panels.
- 5+ years minimum experience in Aviation Production
- Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages)
- High school diploma or GED.
- Flexibility to work day or night shift.
Citizenship: Authorized to Work in the US
This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
