Description
We are looking for an HSE Manager, Automation Solutions to be part of our global HSE team.
As an HSE Manager for Automation Solutions in EMEA, you play a critical role in promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture and ensuring HSE standards are effectively integrated into business operations, projects, and daily activities. As an HSE professional, you collaborate across the organization, provide expert guidance, and take ownership of driving world-class HSE performance that supports business success and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities:
Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of Valmet and Automation Solutions HSE processes and practices.
Support and participate in global and Business Area HSE development initiatives.
Partner with managers to identify risks, conduct risk assessments, and ensure effective mitigation measures are implemented.
Provide expert guidance safety improvements.
Monitor compliance with Valmet HSE requirements and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
Ensure HSE incidents are reported, investigated, communicated, and followed up with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
Support the management and continuous improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications, including audit coordination, management system development, and sharing of best practices.
Promote a proactive HSE culture through engagement, communication, coaching, and visible leadership.
Analyze HSE performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and prepare regular reports for management.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of HSE experience and authority to at least a senior occupational safety and health specialist (granted by the Polish law).
Knowledge of recognized HSE standards and management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; NEBOSH or equivalent certification and ISO lead auditor certification is considered an advantage.
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and electrical safety practices in global environment.
Proficiency English. Other languages are an asset.
Ability to learn and willingness to develop yourself professionally.
Systematic and result oriented way of working.
Driving license B.
Ability and willingness to travel within the EMEA region (up to 20-30%).
