Responsibilities (not all listed)

Provide comprehensive eye examinations and individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages.

Diagnose and manage ocular disease within the scope of Virginia optometric licensure.

Evaluate and fit contact lenses and counsel patients on appropriate vision correction.

Educate patients about eye health, treatment options, and preventive care.

Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Collaborate with staff and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable privacy requirements.

Maintain progressive education with current developments in optometric care, technology, and clinical practice.
Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.

Current Virginia optometry license, or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date.

Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A collaborative approach and a desire to build lasting patient relationships.

Comfort with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
