Job Description

As a Patrol Officer – Alarm Response in West Covina, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a driving unarmed patrol officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, store entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
