Job Description

As a Security Officer Retail Store in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with shoppers, team members, and visitors while responding to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, team members, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and disruptive behavior.
• Document incidents, observations, and policy violations accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
