Role summary:
The Technician, Facility Services, Power Washing, is responsible for operating and maintaining pressure washing equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety across various facility surfaces. This role involves evaluating cleaning requirements, performing preventative maintenance on machinery, and adhering to established safety protocols. The position requires effective communication with facility users and collaboration with team members to support operational needs. About the team:
The Exterior Service team plays a vital role in maintaining Walmart stores by managing landscaping, parking lot repairs, and supporting technicians across locations. They ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing through seasonal upkeep and timely repairs. Team members operate specialized machinery and vehicles while adhering to safety and quality standards. Collaborating with the Home Office, they standardize equipment and optimize resources. Their technical expertise and commitment to service help sustain store environments, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
What you'll do:

• Operate and maintain pressure washing equipment to clean various facility surfaces, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Perform safety and preventative maintenance checks on power washing machinery and related tools.
• Evaluate cleaning areas to determine appropriate pressure, temperature, and operational methods.
• Maintain equipment inventory, install wear parts, and ensure proper storage of tools and vehicles.
• Respond to work orders, document tasks, and communicate updates with facility users and management.
• Operate corporate vehicles safely, conducting inspections and coordinating maintenance as required.
• Support seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management, to maintain safe conditions.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to meet operational priorities and improve facility standards.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience operating and maintaining pressure washing equipment and related machinery.
• Strong knowledge of safety procedures and preventative maintenance for power washing and heavy equipment.
• Ability to evaluate cleaning requirements and adjust operational methods accordingly.
• Skilled in performing equipment inspections, maintenance, and inventory management.
• Competence in operating corporate vehicles safely and conducting required vehicle inspections.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with facility users, managers, and team members.
• Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and support facility maintenance needs with attention to quality and safety.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and maintain a minimum of a 90-day Medical Examiner's Certification (MEC) card.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
As required by Section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language. ​
Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight or weekends.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
